Before I started racing pigeons I found much joys from simply loft flying my birds from my backyard and every once in a while tossing them from various points or wherever my wheels took me. But when I joined a club and started racing birds, I discovered that there several benefits, which included, but are not limited to, personal relationships, good competition and a better concept of how my prized birds would perform against other lofts.
